Visit us between 5pm-7pm on Saturday 30th October & Sunday 31st October, where we’ll be making the most of the darker evenings!
Our gardens will be illuminated by pumpkin light and twinkling fairy lights. Admire our team’s & guests’ pumpkin carving handiwork, whilst we serve a menu of our amazing homemade cakes, special Halloween treats, artisan hot dogs and a selection of hot drinks including our Pumpkin Spice Latte, Honeycomb Hot Chocolate & Gingerbread Latte! Blankets will be provided, so if you go down to the woods today you’re sure of a big surprise!
Bookings & pre-payment are essential for this event!
We’ll also be giving all of our guests the chance to get their own pumpkins displayed in the Ramblers Retreat woodland gardens*, where the best-carved pumpkin will win a table for four at one of our illuminations!**
(*Please note, we are unable to return pumpkins, winning carving will receive a table for four, with drinks, hot dogs and cakes included.)
Carve as many pumpkins as you like and drop them off with us no later than Friday 29th October with your contact details! We’ll judge the best-carved pumpkins over the first evening and chose 1st, 2nd & 3rd place!

Don’t forget the events run over two days- you can join us on Saturday 30th October & Sunday 31st October 2021! Booking & pre-orders are absolutely essential to gain entry & tables must be paid for in advance.
If you need to cancel your booking due to weather or Covid-19, we’ll refund your total in vouchers for you to use at the Ramblers Retreat another time.

MENU: We have two sittings at 5:00pm & 6:00pm where we’ll only be serving our amazing artisan hot dogs, hot drinks & homemade cakes, with lots of autumn specials!
OPENING HOURS: On Saturday 30th October & Sunday 31st October 2021, we will be open as usual 10am-4pm. We’ll then stop serving between 4pm-5pm to allow us to get ready for the Illuminations, opening 5pm-7pm for our wonderfully autumnal Pumpkin Illuminations!
PARKING: Dimmingsdale car parks will be open longer for guests to our Pumpkin Illuminations only, so there’s no need to worry about being in the valley after our usual opening hours. As usual, we’d ask everyone who joins us to park considerately in order to maximise the parking available. We are based in a nature reserve, therefore to keep our events at a sustainable level, there is limited parking available.

Bookings, pre-payment & pre-orders are required to gain entry to the Ramblers Retreat between 5pm-7pm on the 30th & 31st October 2021. The guest who enters a pumpkin in our competition and wins will have their full pre-payment refunded. Unfortunately, we can not return any pumpkins entered in our competition.
